Almost 40 years ago, Dick and a partner started EnTherm, Inc, a retrofit insulation company. The company added radon mitigation to its services early on. Dick wrote the training manual and conducted contractor training for a utility-sponsored low-income weatherization program that incorporated blower-door testing, combustion health and safety testing, and air sealing. Entherm became the first company recruited into New York State Research and Development Authority’s (NYSERDA) Home Performance with Energy Star™ program. Dick and his partner sold EnTherm, Inc in 2006 to GreenHomes America. Dick remained on the management team of GreenHomes until 2010 when he left to start his own consulting business, DickKornbluth, LLC.  He currently serves on the boards of the Building Performance Association, the  Building Performance Institute where he is Board Chair, and the Building Performance Contractors Association of NY, Inc.
